Choice of every home · Since 1973

Five decades. One factory. One brief.

ABC Products was founded in 1973 as a modest trading house in Ahmedabad. Today the company manufactures 120+ SKUs across nine categories — all from a single, tightly-run facility at Bhayla.

01 · The beginning

A trading house with an idea: build appliances that work for fifteen years.

Shri Kantilal Patel founded ABC Products in 1973 as a modest trading business supplying electrical goods to dealers across Gujarat. The name was simple, the ambition plain — stock products that lasted long enough to be reordered by the same customer's children.

Within a decade, the trade in other people's stock had become an education. In 1984, ABC set up its first manufacturing unit. The category was water heaters — chosen for the depth of their engineering demands, not their ease of manufacture.

02 · The timeline

Fifty-three years, told in eight moments.

1973

Founded as a trading house

Shri Kantilal Patel establishes ABC Products in Ahmedabad — initially a wholesaler of small electrical appliances, supplying dealers across Gujarat and parts of Rajasthan.

1984

First manufacturing unit

ABC moves from trading into manufacturing, setting up a small plant in Ahmedabad to produce storage water heaters. The first category is chosen deliberately — the category that demands the most of its maker.

1993

Ceiling fan line launched

A second production line opens for ceiling fans. The first Coolbreeze model ships, establishing the performance-and-finish template that still defines the range today.

2001

In-house quality lab

A dedicated QA lab is commissioned with voltage-fluctuation, thermal-endurance and duty-cycle testing rigs. No ABC product leaves the floor without passing all three benches.

2008

Expansion into pedestal & wall fans

Production is diversified with heavy-duty pedestal, wall and exhaust fans — all engineered to withstand the 12-hour duty cycles typical of small shops, schools and commercial spaces.

2014

Bhayla factory

Operations consolidate at a purpose-built facility at Ozone Industrial Park, Bhayla — 40,000 sq ft under one roof, with automated winding, powder-coating and assembly lines.

2019

600-dealer network

ABC's trade network crosses 600 active dealers across western and northern India. Some family firms have stocked the brand for three generations.

2024

New Gloria collection

Launch of the Gloria line — a flagship range of designer ceiling fans with die-cast motor housings, cast-aluminium finials, and four architectural finishes.

03 · The factory

Forty thousand square feet. One continuous line.

The Bhayla facility brings winding, balancing, finishing and assembly under a single roof. CNC-punched steel, automated copper winding rigs, electrostatic powder-coat, and a moving assembly line staffed by teams who've been on the floor for fifteen years or more.

Every unit passes through the same three benches before it leaves the plant — voltage fluctuation, thermal endurance, and duty-cycle. No product is exempt, regardless of category or price point.

04 · Quality & testing

Three benches. Every unit, every time.

01
Voltage bench
Each unit is cycled between 180 V and 260 V to verify reliable operation across Indian grid fluctuation.
02
Thermal bench
Continuous operation at ambient 45°C confirms insulation, bearings and windings stay within temperature.
03
Duty-cycle bench
Mechanical components are cycled for a simulated year of use before the unit is boxed.
04
Final audit
A random 1 in 50 sample from every batch returns to the lab for destructive teardown and inspection.
